✨ High Tea Magic at Ashford Castle ✨

After a long road trip around Ireland this September with my family, we regaled ourselves to an Afternoon High Tea at the fairytale-like Ashford Castle, a medieval castle from 1228 and formerly owned by the Guinness family in County Mayo. The newly renovated, 5-star hotel was on full display in all it's glory when we pulled up to the grand stone gateway across a small bridge. Twinkling chandeliers and exquisite antique decor greeted us along with the friendly footman. It was the best finale to our trip.As we sat down to a table for four, I was immediately attracted to the whimsical and colorful Wedgewood China. Modern, yet chic. Perfect for the occasion. I was in heaven, snapping photos and not allowing anyone to touch or disturb the presentation of tea-sized sandwiches until sufficient photos were taken while indulging in a glass of bubbly. The delectable small sandwiches were followed by an array of picture-perfect desserts and warm scones. It was topped off by our complimentary Ashford chocolates for the road. In a nutshell, you need to treat yourself to this when you visit Ireland.Cheers!
