This week in travel news: July 1
We’re headed into another summer weekend and the 4th of July holiday, which means there will be more travel woes. The updates I’m hearing from friends, social media, and clients are that it’s messy out there with lots of cancellations and even pilot protests. Read some tips here on ways to tackle it for those who have to fly in the latest for USA Today with tips from my client Joshua Bush, CEO of Avenue Two Travel.
Travel in a Post Roe World
“We knew it was coming,” responses don't make the news any less traumatic and scary. It impacts everyone, not just women. It also impacts who we do business with and where we travel. I was really happy to see Condé Nast Traveler take a public stand. I’m so glad I just renewed my subscription and will continue to do so.
Read Jo Piazza’s take in Marie Claire about the real fear of traveling while pregnant to certain states. It’s unnerving to have less rights over your body than a cadaver.
Now, onto some lighter news, I am writing from Miami, Florida. It was a short bleisure travel trip. It’s very hot but I'm happy to be in another destination with a pool and beach to beat the heat!
When I return later today, I'll be headed into the holiday weekend and hosting a BBQ on the 4th with a great view of the Philadelphia fireworks on the Delaware River from my roof.
Where will you be celebrating?
