TravelCon Moves to 2022 + Memphis is Up Next 🎶
Another event bites the Covid dust. But not for good! While we held onto hope for a better turnout and handling of the virus by now (like everyone!), TravelCon cannot go on as planned in April 2021. As such, TravelCon NOLA will now take place in 2023.
Now, we won't lose steam and have to hold out till 2023. We did some maneuvering and will move to our next host destination in 2022.
So, without further ado, here it is:
TravelCon 2022 will take place April 29th to May 1st, 2022 in Memphis, Tennessee!
We are stoked to bring TravelCon to this city famous the world over for the signature Memphis sound. Nomadic Matt, founder of TravelCon, first went to Memphis a few years back and fell in love with the food, history, and music of the city.
Over the last few years, Memphis has developed a robust culinary and brewery scene, experienced a flurry of new development with attractions that bring visitors to the mighty Mississippi River, overhauled their International airport, and are opening the Renasant Convention Center (which we’ll be taking over next year with a view of the waterfront)! Few cities in the United States offer the variety of attractions, live music, history, and cuisine that Memphis can. It is the home of Blues, Soul, and Rock 'n' Roll, with live music seven nights a week on iconic Beale Street (and throughout the city’s vibrant neighborhoods). From the South's Grand Hotel with its marching ducks to Elvis’ Graceland, an ever expanding restaurant and brewery scene here, award-winning BBQ, and 60 plus attractions, Memphis is going to keep us busy! We’re also excited to showcase Memphis' history and Civil Rights through a variety of tours and museums, especially the epic National Civil Rights Museum.
In partnership with Memphis Tourism, we’ll be bringing back everything you’ve come to love about TravelCon: workshops, panels, parties, niche meet-ups, and included lunches! This year, we’ll be doing FAM trips around the city before - and after - the event so we can bring the best of Memphis throughout our conference schedule!
