Checking In: The Newbury Hotel, Boston

For a quintessential Boston stay, you’re going to want to position yourself at this prime location on Boston Common at The Newbury Hotel, a Leading Hotels of the World property. It was the ideal stay leading into the 4th of July holiday with American historical sites and prime New England seafood to be found just one leisurely walk away from the property.

I stayed in the Park View Suite and it was lovely. I just wish I was in season to be able to take advantage of the fireplace. I reccommend going back in the Fall and Winter to cozy up to the fireplace!

Suite Living: Classic Park View Suite

This one room suite provides the perfect amount of space and comfort for a long-weekend in Boston on the entry point to Boston Commons, and steps away from all the top shopping on Newbury Street as well as Back Bay eateries.

Head to the rooftop to dine at one of the top restaurants in Boston at Contessa. The leafy decor, velvet chair accents and divine dishes serve as the perfect start to your stay.

Weekend Plans

Stop at the Mapparium, a three-story-tall globe made of stained glass, just a short walk along Newbury Street where you want to plan a visit to Lobstah on a Roll, Saltie Girl, or Select Oyster Bar to complete your seafood journey.

For a longer walk or short Uber drive, head over to the Boston Seaport for all sorts of arts, culture, entertainment, and breweries!

If you’re able to get access, go to The ‘Quin House a few blocks away. The former Algonquin townhouse is something to experience in the various venues and hidden record room. No photos allowed 🤫
