Philly Gift Guide & Holiday Shopping

Shop around the city for your Philly favorite this holiday. There are so many local artisans, shops and cluster of places to make an afternoon or day with some sweets of your own while you shop. It’s nice to visit in store, however, there are some online options if you’re pinched for time or out of town:

Philadelphia Christmas Village

  • Think ahead to get a wow factor gift for your significant other or take the whole gang out on the water with Sea Philly’s classic Italian wooden cruiser boats. The days are shorter now, but blue skies will be around the corner and you will want to have your sailings lined up. Take a picnic boat ride, enjoy the waterfront Estuary space and more. It’s such a unique experience gift idea!

  • Go Birds! Philly sports fans can pick up great items from Shibe Vintage Sports and Mitchell & Ness with their throw-back style apparel.

  • Couldn’t think of a better group to support than the Sisterly Love Collective. Their Gift Guide from the community of female owners, entrepreneurs around the city that you should visit on location at their upcoming holiday markets or order online.

  • Pay a visit to Passyunk. Stop by the new, expanded Occasionette location to pick up all your gifting for local favorites and nods to Philly culture. Along the way, stop in South Fellini - a cheeky boutique, and Latchkey record store for some musical goodies.

  • 4th Street in Queen Village is chock full of great shops, especially The Merrygold Shop, Moon + Arrow, and Walter Pine Floral Studio. You can stroll along Fabric Row to support local businesses and pick up a coffee at Red Hook Cafe. There’s also a handful of worthwhile vintage shops. Gift for you, gift for me!

  • Stroll down 13th street to get a warm French Onion Soup at Darling Jack’s then stop by Verde and Open House Store. You can pick up all types of goodies from keepsakes to stocking stuffers in these two shops.

  • Cherry Street Pier was created by the Delaware River Waterfront who wanted to empower and afford artisans the space and high-trafficked footprint to showcase their work. They do regular pop-ups so check the schedule for even more vendors and try the rotating food and drink trucks.

  • A refurb of an old school, Bok Building has some amazing shops like Minimal Chaos (Turkish rug slide on shoes and rugs!), Rider Ceramics, Amazulu Collections and Greenly Plant Co. While you’re shopping, pick up savory bits from Machine Shop’s incredible award-winning bakery. That’s a nice little Saturday!

  • Christmas Markets at City Hall and LOVE Park pops up on Thanksgiving weekend though the holidays. You can stroll around almost 100 booths and carry around a mulled wine as you do! There’s so much to find at these shops and love to support those entrepreneurs around the City of Brotherly Love.

  • Get a Philly Food Tour! The best one is by local food writer Maddy Sweitzer-Lammé, founder of Tiny Table Tours. Can confirm it’s fun for locals too. She’ll take you around for some tasty bites and give fun facts as well as a takeaway of her top foodie tips for the city. It would be a great gift and one you can join too.

Enjoy the holiday season! Another funtivity would be to do a holiday bar crawl in the city. It’s our annual tradition to spice up our holiday gifting plans. Check out Uptown Beer Garden, Tinsel, White Elephant, Craftsman Row, and McGillin’s Old Ale House.

Glam up your festive drinks with a stop at Four Seasons’ SkyHigh with cocktails overlooking the city. Their seasonal decorations are already up and stunning!
