Trip Whisperer Update: New Host Agency
Going into 2025, we’re extremely focused on building our travel agency and continuing to create incredible trips for clients near and afar. That meant leveling up our network and host agency Cadence Travel, under the guise of Alyson Nash, founder of Cloud 10. We want to be around other women who would say our name in a room of possibilities. Women leaders who talk about growth, so we don’t see any limits. I firmly believe it’s all about who you surround yourself with.
While working for American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) in a PR capacity for five years, I had been able to see travel advisors in a new light and get a lay of the landscape - who are the top players, consortias, reputable agencies and travel industry executives. At the time, the client asked, “why am I not booking travel?” Great question, since I’ve been planning press trips for discerning editors and writers for nearly 15 years now. I’ve traveled to 58 countries, the planner in the family and friend groups, so it all add ups. It’s a gift and a passion.
What is a host agency?
A host agency typically is founded by top travel advisors, who start to build and support other independent advisors such as myself with tools, back-of-house support and an incredible global network of connections. I am still the agency owner and make our own decisions at Trip Whisperer, however, now we come with a backing of a greater force and influence to benefit our clients and servicing them. Power in quality of numbers and tapping into that luxury network and access.
My New Host Agency
It took me some trial and error these last six years, however, I’ve found myself at a power-house, female run agency that felt like the right home for me: Cadence Travel founded by CEO Wendy Burk, and under Alyson Nash, founder & president of Cloud 10, so I have a team within a larger team. We are affiliated with the luxury network Virtuoso and part of the most elite travel programs with partners like Belmond Belini, Four Seasons, AMAN, Leading Hotels of the World, Dorchester Diamond Club, Rosewood Elite and the coveted Forbes Travel Guide Verified, so we have access to the top brass and GM when we need to VIP our clients.
What does it mean for travelers?
To my clients who put their trust in me, this doesn’t have an impact on your service. In fact, it will only help me serve you better with more trusted resources. The same amenities and luxury programs are afforded to you through this new agency and a lot of industry respect, which is what really attracted me to them as well as a long-time friend Karen Loftus, who has been with them for years now.
What does it mean for my travel partnerships?
It’s a professional signal that I’m among a strong network of travel advisors, which they have deep history and experience with. A recognizable and reputable agency is the key ingredient for me. As someone who values relationships above all and doing good business, I expect the same of my agency.
